Time to get back to work!!
I’m very happy to announce that I’ve finally gotten myself situated over the last few weeks since my move from Dallas, and have begun painting out of my new studio in Los Angeles! :-)
I have some ideas for large canvases that I’ll be beginning shortly, but in the meantime, I wanted to complete three new smaller works on paper:
“Made in the Schade[nfreude]”, and “In A Saint, A Sinner” (which is actually TWO separate pieces — “alpha” and “omega” versions…that’s right, for the first time, I’ve completed 2 pieces concurrently with opposing imagery, but the same text!).
Some not-so-great news: unfortunately, I had to cancel my upcoming show in Boston that was scheduled for this November. :-( The show was going to be an absolutely INSANE collection of work by myself and several other members of my art collective, AOA, and I was really looking forward to heading to the East Coast and meeting many of you that were planning on making the trek to Beantown.
Sadly, for various reasons, I decided that the gallery just was not the appropriate place to exhibit my show, so I cancelled it. I fully plan on having this AOA group show happen, but, just at a different space. I’ll keep you posted on details. I apologize to those of you that were already looking into booking flights and hotels to be in Boston for the show, but trust me, this cancellation was for the best. I’ll see you in 2011! :-)
***The good news is that all the work I created specifically for the show, including my last canvas piece, “A Ballet of Friction”, are now available!***
Upcoming shows on the West Coast are still in development right now…I should have some news for you all shortly!!
Until next time,
