Have been working away in this 100+ degree Dallas heat (utter madness, I tell you!) on some new pieces, doing some experimental things utilizing some new approaches. I’ve been pretty happy with this more colorful, and sometimes minimal approach. Can’t wait to start some larger canvas pieces layering some manipulated watercolor tricks…
Here’s a few new smaller 11 x 15″ pieces for your consumption, including a collaboration with Contemporary artist NIX TOXIC. They are all brand-new and available now thru my website:

**CHARITY AUCTION REMINDER!!**
If you’ve read my previous post, you’d know that I donated my early-2009 16×20″ canvas painting “Parental Guidance Suggested” to Dallas-based animal rescue / no kill non-profit charity organization Paws In The City for their huge upcoming “Top Hat & Tails” event on June 12th. They are a fantastic charity, and I’m a huge supporter of the work they do.
Here’s the very cool news: they are doing something special for the painting I’ve donated: they have opened the auction bidding on my painting up for e-mail bids for those that either aren’t located in Dallas or who can’t attend the event! The painting is one of the last pieces I ever did using stencil-based imagery, and is additionally special because it is a museum piece (it was on exhibit in a retrospective exhibit from last September – January at The Contemporary Art Center of Virginia)!
The retail price of the piece is $2500.00, but they are starting the bidding at just $1000.00 (if you’d like to eschew the bidding process and buy the piece outright, you can do so for $3250.00). Your donation is tax-deductible and is going to a great cause!! If you’re interested in placing a bid between now and June 12th (the night of the event), please contact auction organizer Shannon Cox directly via e-mail at email@example.com.
