I came, I saw, I conquered! It’s been a while since I tackled a canvas this large…I missed it! There’s something about having a blank canvas this size staring you in the face that is equal parts daunting and exciting! Especially given this new chapter in my work where I am using a more illustrative Urban Contemporary feel with my latest pieces.
So, here is the result! Up until this canvas, the largest piece I had currently available were a couple 30 x 40″ canvases (“Of Sherpas + Concubines” which is available on my site, and “The Lofty Aspirations of Hotel Room Art”, which is also available, but is currently on loan to The Contemporary Art Center of Virginia for the “Davmo & The Young Guns” exhibit that I am in from Sept. 24, 2009 – January 3, 2010).
Enjoy the new piece below (as well as some detail shots). The canvas is available now on my website!
