I’ve recently been evolving my style as you know, incorporating the usual suspects of paint distress, text, & stencil imagery, & most recently have been bringing illustration, hand-drawn elements & photo transfer into the mix (which you can see on recent blogs).
Here’s the latest smaller piece on paper with a more illustrative vibe to it, entitled “Emo Minimalists”.
I wanted to take a brief moment to formally introduce you to the work of a good friend, Dallas-based artist C. KIRK.
He and I have been working together on various projects over the past several months, and have collaborated on several pieces,
one of which will be on exhibit at The Contemporary Art Center of Virginia this September. We’re almost completed on a new smaller collaboration as well. His style is focused on an Urban Pop vibe, centering on pop culture and politically-charged source material. I myself own one of his pieces in my own private art collection! Make sure to head over to his website!
If you see anything you’d like to purchase from him, send him an e-mail and tell him that “THH70 sent you”. He’ll knock
10% off the price of your purchases when you mention my name! Here are a few images of his work:
